The top-seeded CJI Hawks swept second-seeded Cascade 26-24, 25-16, 25-11 in Saturday's championship match at the 2026 District 10C Volleyball Tournament to win their second straight district title. Playing on their home floor in the CJI gym, the Hawks went through the three-day, seven-team tournament unbeaten and never dropped a set, winning all nine they played by a total margin of 226 - 159.

Senior Brynn Kammerzell returned to the lineup for the championship after missing the first two days of the tournament with a sprained ankle. The Hawks held off the Badgers in a tight first set, 26-24, then pulled away in the final two.

Sophomore Audrey Young led the way with 12 kills, four aces, and three blocks, and Kammerzell added 11 kills, 10 digs, and four blocks in her first action of the tournament. Junior Scarlet Sundgren had seven kills, 15 digs, three aces, and three blocks, and sophomore Brooke Streit added seven kills, four digs, two aces, and two blocks. Sophomore Timber Hull finished with four kills and 12 digs, and senior setter Piper Erickson dished out 42 assists with two aces and four digs. Senior Brie Mattson collected 26 digs and two assists, and senior Kyra Anderson added six digs.

Cascade earned its place in the final the hard way. The Badgers beat Simms 3-2 earlier in the day, winning the second, fourth, and fifth sets 25-23, 25-19, and 15-4 after trailing two sets to one. They then outlasted PDB 3-2, again winning the second, fourth, and fifth sets, 25-21, 25-22, and 15-6, to set up the championship meeting with the Hawks.

PDB finished third after taking a two-sets-to-one lead on Cascade, winning the first and third sets 26-24 and 25-23, before the Badgers took the final two. Simms, which also led Cascade two sets to one, finished fourth.

The top four finishers, CJI, Cascade, PDB, and Simms, now advance to the Northern C divisional tournament in Belt, Nov. 5 through 7, where they will join four teams from District 9C and two teams will earn trips to the state tournament. The top-seeded Hawks open Thursday, Nov. 5, against 9C's fourth seed, Highwood, 30 minutes after the finish of the Big Sandy and PDB match, which begins at 2:00 p.m. That puts the start at approximately 3:45 to 4:00 p.m., and it could be later if the earlier matches go long.
